The first worksheet is a Lucky Numbers worksheet. Kids will count the number of pictures in each box and then write the matching number word. There is a word bank provided to assist with spelling and recalling the number words.

The third worksheet is a Shamrock Numbers Hunt activity. Kids will dab or color the shamrocks with numbers. I love using dabbing markers (or dot markers) and so do kids! They’re a lot of fun. Stamps are also a great option as well! The Dollar Tree always has a good assortment of stamps, and these assorted stamps are a great deal on Amazon – around $11 for 50 stamps.

The fourth worksheet is a Shamrock Letter Hunt printable. It’s similar to the Number Hunt, except kids will be dabbing the letters instead of numbers. Distinguishing between numbers and letters is a very important pre-reading skill to master. Sorting and classifying information develops early math and literacy skills.

The fifth worksheet is a Real or Silly Words? activity. This is a cut and paste activity where kids will cut out the words provided, read them (CVC words), and sort them onto the correct pot of gold – either a real word or a silly, or nonsense word.

The final page in this mini pack is a Short Vowel Shamrocks worksheet. This is also a cut and paste worksheet where kids will read the words on the shamrocks (CVC words with – ap, – at, and – et endings) and use the color code provided to color the word families either green, yellow, or brown. Afterwards, they’ll cut and paste the shamrocks onto the leprechaun hat.
