Halloween 2021

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! Even though I don’t dress up anymore, I get such a kick out of helping my two young daughters pick out their costumes every year. I’m also becoming a pretty good face painter. Here’s a picture of us last Halloween. Lucia was dead set on being Skye from Paw Patrol and Izzy was a ghost 👻.

What’s included in the free Halloween-themed cut and paste activities?

Halloween identifying feelings worksheet

If your child loves to cut and paste, then they’re going to get a “treat” out of these Halloween worksheets. These cut and paste activities work for preschoolers on up. Your little one can even color the images in after they finish cutting and pasting.

There are two worksheets included in this freebie. One worksheet features witches and the other one features mummies. But don’t worry – these worksheets are not scary or spooky. The images are adorable and kid friendly. My daughter still can’t see the first Hocus Pocus because the beginning was too scary for her. So, I’ll wait patiently and excitedly until she’s ready to watch it.

Each worksheet has a total of eight different facial expressions with each feeling written underneath. The text is there to support you (the adult) as an answer key.

The following expressions are included: happy, sad, worried, silly, mad, embarrassed, excited, and surprised.

How to use the free Halloween cut and paste worksheets

Halloween-themed matching feelings worksheets for kids

These worksheets are easy to use and are truly no prep. Just download, print, and complete! No costly ink is required, no laminating, and no cutting on your part 😉. Just regular printer paper, kids scissors, a glue stick, and some coloring supplies if your little one wants to color the images.

The purpose of these worksheets is to have your child work on their emotional vocabulary while they recognize and name the different emotions. Even if your child can’t read yet, this activity is a wonderful opportunity for them to talk about their emotions and emotions in general. This helps to support their social-emotional learning.

Since this is a cut and paste educational resource, your child will also practice their fine motor skills, build hand strength by using scissors, and develop their visual perceptual skills, which is making sense of what their eyes see.

Once you print out this worksheet, you can share what the objective is with your little one. The objective of this hands-on worksheet is to look at each of the eight faces and cut and paste to match the emotions.

I think they’ll have a “fang-tastic” time completing this interactive Halloween cut and paste matching activity 🧛. Aren’t my Halloween puns so corny? 😂
