Halloween-themed costume matching printables

I recently posted our first free Halloween cut and paste printables for this year. I was inspired to create them after watching Hocus Pocus (never gets old).

I’m happy to share that these activities are easy to use and work well in a classroom, home, or child care setting.

Additionally, all of my newly created Halloween cut and paste worksheet sets focus on various early learning skills that are important for preschoolers and kindergarteners to practice. This pair of Halloween cut and paste printables focuses on matching costumes.

The benefits of matching activities for young kids

Matching activities for kids are a great way to help them learn to find items that are the same or similar. This type of activity also helps them develop their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, as well as their problem solving abilities. Awesome, right?!

On top of that, combining matching activities with a theme like Halloween is a great way to make learning fun for kids. It makes it so that they won’t even know they’re learning! So I put a fun and spooky spin on this matching activity for your little one to enjoy!

Halloween matching activities: where’s my head?

Halloween is all about dressing up in costumes and having fun with kids. Does your little one like to dress up for Halloween?

My oldest does and I’m sure my youngest will too, but she’s just 17 months old 😊. Every year my oldest gets so excited to dress up and go trick-or-treating. So far she’s been Yoda, a witch, Elsa from Frozen (who hasn’t?), and Skye from Paw Patrol. And I think this year she wants to be a butterfly or a ballerina.

If your child is undecided on what they want to be this Halloween, maybe these activities will give them some ideas!

Halloween costume matching task for kids

This freebie includes two worksheets. Each worksheet features four kids in costume for a total of eight Halloween kids altogether. The Halloween kids included are a mummy, big kid Frankenstein’s monster, a little kid Frankenstein’s monster, a werewolf, a zombie, a pirate, a ghost, and a witch. All of the images are cute and child friendly.

For each cut and paste worksheet, your little learner will match the heads of each Halloween kid to their correct body. After matching each Halloween kid, your child can then have fun coloring in their costumes.

These are no-prep worksheets, which means you just need to download and print on regular printer paper. As far as having your child complete this worksheet, you’ll just need some basic school supplies: a pair of kid scissors, some glue, and some coloring supplies.
