Counting to 10 Worksheets

This freebie includes two worksheets.

These Halloween counting games are just right for preschoolers and kindergarteners. They can have a blast while improving their fine motor skills and counting objects up to the number 10!

The two printables included in this set feature cute candy corn clipart and are meant to be printed onto standard 8.5 x 11″ printer paper.

There are 10 counting problems per sheet for a total of twenty candy corn themed counting problems altogether plus an extra bonus question on the first worksheet.

On the first worksheet, you’ll find candy corn jars with numbers next to them. Children will read the number (number recognition) and then draw the right amount of candy corn pieces into the candy corn jar.

As a bonus, kids will color and count candy corn and do the opposite – count the candy corn and write the correct number of candy corn in the box provided.

The second worksheet is all about practicing one-to-one correspondence. Kids will count each candy corn inside the candy corn jars and then match that number with the right number of candy corn. For this activity, they’ll need scissors and glue because it involves cutting and pasting.

How is Candy Corn Made?

Ever wonder how this Halloween staple is made? For example, is it really made out of corn? Spoiler alert…it’s not! It’s actually made of sugar, fondant, corn syrup, vanilla flavor, and a marshmallow creme.

Here’s a great, short History video that shows the process of how candy corn is made that you can show your kids.
